Being Blunt

Ok, I’m female in this.  I’m gossipy and I like looking at my friend’s kids, and makeup, and parties.  Being slightly suspicious, and not male, the first one makes me suspcious.

Are you all looking at people you want to bang, because social networks skew young? Or Single? Or something?  Even subconciously?  Why are you all men folk looking at women you don’t know?  Are you hoping to date or marry one of them?

If it helps, I sort of subconciously knew this.  It doesn’t help that I get hit on enough and I dislike a certain percentage of it, because it seems inauthetic (Single people, learn to hit on authentically!)  I often wonder if a “Full Facial Reveal” would make that worse.  Especially if I were smiling.

This kind of finding does not make me feel better.  I’;ve had one internet stalking in the past, when I was in high school.  (It was brief and easily resolved). How do I really know who is looking at me on the internet.  It’s a world plagued of the Gaze, out of control.  Like polite sexual availability.  It is just so awkward to say so in public.  I like to pretend it is all about Mafia Wars, but even then, could I just imply that Mafia wars is about how popular ans how much money, and how strong i am (social strength is important for finding a mate).

Maybe social networks should just come out and say it, ala the concept with Thread.  They are the Internets current best hope with sex and marriage.  Seriously.  With findings like that, who can deny?

Quick Edit: So a Good Male Friend of Mine, when I said I found this article, told me the following: Because they are pretty.  It’s Neo-pron.  Just tell me the truth, I’m a big girl, alright?  If you did attractiveness studies on the pages with the most hits, it would be the most attractive girl in the most attractive bikini!!!  *Sigh*
